Update on the
U.S. Book Show!
Our team was
pleased to exhibit at the inaugural U.S. Book Show last month. The virtual setup was fairly easy to navigate and the thrill of “running into” people we know brought some of the in-person feels we’ve been missing. Our team sat in on a number of panels and presentations and found the panel, “Political Books: What Does the Post-Trump Landscape Hold?” moderated by Jimmy So, editor, Columbia
Global Reports, Columbia University, to be particularly compelling.
As the trade
show landscape has, seemingly, been in transition for many years, this year’s completely virtual show was an unexpected reminder of just how energizing and impactful in-person shows can be and, further, how many new connections they bring. We’ll be ready to get back to it when possible and, for now, are especially grateful to Publishers Weekly and other participating sponsors for allowing us the opportunity to connect in
2021!
President Sandy Smith was recently a guest on Josh Steimle ’s new The Published Author Podcast where she provides actionable tips on how to get the best publicity for your book.
Sandy Smith also recently joined Peter Winick on his Leveraging Thought Leadership podcast to discuss getting the right media attention, and how to capitalize on it once you have the spotlight.

What clients are saying...
“I worked with my publicist at Smith Publicity to launch my book Behemoth, Amazon Rising. She has been a terrific addition to my team: knowledgable, professional, organized, and with extensive contacts across traditional and digital media. She guided our outreach, which was in my view highly successful -- far beyond what I could have accomplished on my own. Absolutely looking forward to the next project we can work on together.”
